Liz Jacques, the owner and operator of Companion Synergy, is an Accredited Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International. Liz has 8 years of experience working within the pet care field, including pet sitting, dog daycare, and clicker training. Liz also has experience caring for diabetic and senior pets, as well as pets who are reactive and/or fearful. She works in close association with WigglebBums! Dog-friendly Training and Behavior Consulting, and follows the Wiggleums! philosophy of humane, gentle, relationship-based methods of working with pets as the basis of her pet care business.
Liz loves animals of all kinds and currently cares for three Siberian Huskies, Sierra (age 8), Loki (age 1), and Viking (age 9); a Cocker Spaniel, Snickers (age 13); 4 feline friends, Baby,Killer, Bean, and Bear; two house rabbits, Sweet Pea and Peanut; a Green Iguana, Petri (age 10), and a Pueblan Milk Snake named Boo, most of whom eat fresh, homemade, natural diets. In addition, she has a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and has been studying canine and feline nutrition for the past 3 years. Liz is currently working on her Diploma in Advanced Canine Nutritional Sciences through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute, and hopes to be able to offer nutritional help to her clients in the future.
Liz has been active in breed specific rescue efforts with multiple organizations for many years. Most recently, she has been serving as a foster home for Greyhound Welfare, Inc., helping retired racers prepare for new lives in pet homes.
All employees of Companion Synergy are carefully screened and thoroughly trained in all aspects of pet care including pet sitting, dog walking, clicker training, first aid, and basic nutritional needs.
Companion Synergy is bonded and insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas.
